The Model 700 power humidifier features truly automatic control, so there's no need to ever manually control the humidifier. It is also designed with ease of service in mind. Complementing any HVAC system, the 700 has an evaporation capacity of .75 gallons per hour, among the highest capacity humidifiers we sell.
The Model 600 moves air through the bypass principle, where air is forced from the warm air supply to the cold air return due to positive air pressure in the supply and negative air pressure in the return. The humidified air mixes with the return air from the home. Perfect for loosely insulated houses around 1,000 sq ft. & tight houses around 4,000 sq ft.
The Model 400 bypass humidifier is a high-capacity humidifier (.70 gallons evaporated per hour) incorporating a water circulating system for use where drain facilities are not accessible or available. It will properly humidify up to 4,000 square feet if your home is tight in construction.
Recommended for use on gas or oil-fired furnaces.
Why Is Humidity Important?
Dry air (below 35% to 45%RH) can cause nose, throat, and other physical aggravations.
Heated air dries out and shrinks wood framing around doors and window frames. Gaps occur, permitting cold outside air infiltration, resulting in heat loss and higher heating costs.
Heated, dry air causes separation of wood in floors, trim and furniture and can cause wall and ceiling cracks.
Heated, dry air causes annoying static shocks, which can actually ruin electronic devices in the home.
Proper humidity reduces heating costs by stopping wood shrinkage, which reduces cold air infiltration around door and window frames. In turn, you will feel warmer at lower temperatures (just as you feel hotter in humid weather). You can actually lower your thermostat and still feel just as comfortable. In cases where excessive dry air has been the cause of physical aggravations, doctors have prescribed whole-house humidification.
The recommended indoor relative humidity is 35% to 45%RH. A central humidifier is the perfect choice for comfort, health, and savings!
