About Ben Chew:

My name is Ben Chew and I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer, with a background in jazz, rock, and world music. I play guitar, bass, trumpet, percussion, drums, keyboards, and flute. I also sing and create multi-part harmonies on my recordings. I also arrange, produce, and engineer.

I have played guitar on recording sessions for well known acts, including The O'Jays, The Box Tops, and Rare Earth. As a performer, I have shared the stage with artists such as Barenaked Ladies and Jimmy Webb. I create original recordings in a variety of different styles.

Ben Chew's debut CD, 'California' is a collection of pop and rock songs and is played on over 200 radio stations in the US and Canada. The new CD, Rough Seas was released in August of 2001. It is a blending of jazz, world music, new age, and rock instrumental.

I am currently working on a series of environmental recordings to be used for healing.
