| EVAPORATIVE
PRINCIPLE GENERALAire humidifers are 100% evaporative, adding moisture
in the form of water vapor only. They are clean operating. The nuisance
of airborne water droplets or mineral dust is avoided. |
Forced
warm air heating systems create a pressure differential that diverts some
heated air through a bypass duct to the humidifier. There, the warm air
absorbs moisture from a water-soaked, drum-mounted evaporator sleeve and
then rejoins the primary warm air stream for distribution throughout the
living area. The drum-mounted evaporator sleeve picks up moisture as it
slowly rotates in a water reservoir. A float valve controls the level
of water in the reservoir. |
